The whole reason I bought it was to be able to 'close up' the office when we're done with the computer. Since our 'office' is in the bedroom, it's nice not staring at a computer screen and messy desk every day. It's more comfortable for my wife than I (but then, few pieces of furniture fit my 6'5" frame). Granted, it's smaller than our previous desk so we can't pile as much stuff on it...but that's not a bad thing when you think about it. The only real downside is we won't be able to put a larger monitor in than what we have right now (a 20" iMac), unless we remove the shelving right above. In all, a solid piece of furniture that looks nice, was fairly easy to put together, and makes our bedroom much tidier. Oh, a minor construction note: consider attaching the letter holder to the door before attaching the door - and use wood glue in addition to the screws, because the screws were not sufficient to hold the weight of the letter holder. It fell off with just slight pressure.

The piece is a little smaller than it appears, but it's perfect for us. I assembled it myself with help lifting the top part onto the bottom. It was easy to assemble and we are very happy with it!

This item has a nice finish but is poorly constructed. Many of the camlock holes were missing the plastic screw thread insert which makes that lock unusable and affects the stability of the armoire. The doors are crooked and even after adjustments they cant be properly aligned. The screw holes for the door hinges were stripped. The main shelf dowels did not line up with the holes which forced me to re-drill them. At the cost, one would expect a better quality product. If it was not for the time I spent assembling it and the size of the armoire I would return it. Sincerely, Rob Biron
