This futon is simple and very classy. Really like the design of it and how it folds up and down. I love it! My 16 y-o son assembled it in about 1 1/2 hours with no trouble. It comes in a 6 foot long box which was about a foot wide and very easy to take up stairs and around corners, etc. Just got it today so I do not know about durability...but I am willing to bet it lasts a lot longer than the metal ones we have owned. The price is also really reasonable...shipping can be a bite, but it still comes out cheaper than a lot of the ones I have seen in the stores.

I was rather skeptical about the durability of this frame, but it has seen daily usage now for over a year both as a sofa and as a bed and it's still in excellent condition. I don't know how well it would hold up with kids (they flop around more LOL), but for a small adult it works well. Assembly was easy, even for one person--just make sure you've got plenty of space to lay it out and work in. Assembled, the top of the frame stands 10" from the floor--low, but not unbearably low. Adjusting the position is easy, until you put a mattress on it--mattresses are heavy! I was well pleased with the quality of the lumber, the clear instructions and the included hardware. Nice item!

I purchased this for my daughters' apartment. It is a very good price considering the materials and workmanship . I think that buying this and a mattress and cover separately will be a great savings in the long run over the cheap Walmart futon i bought my son his first year in college. that lasted less than three months.
